WebAble has partnered with Bangladesh Youthfest, an event that recognizes the brightest talent and the sharpest minds of the young minds of Bangladesh in one of the largest cross-country contests ever held in Bangladesh, that included knowledge sessions and showcases over seven districts namely: Dhaka, Chittagong, Rajshahi, Khulna, Barisal, Sylhet, and Rangpur. Months of ideation competitions activated across the country challenged an enthusiastic crowd of brilliant youth stepping up to be the future leaders and entrepreneurs has led to the ultimate close of the first season of DCCI presents Bangladesh YouthFest – the Grand Finale is taking place with a two-day festival on 13 & 14 of May 2016 at North South University.

The intensive sessions to scope out the best talent in the country were a collaboration of day-long knowledge sessions, showcasing and interactive lecture series, extensive ideation competition that aims to inspire and transform the young generation into a budding community of minds geared up for the advancement of the country. Bangladesh Youthfest kicked off in February 2016 as an endeavor by the Bangladesh Brand Forum, BBF, its mission “Inspiring the Nation’s Future”, with a vision to create seven Innovation Hubs across the seven districts.

One of the most awaited sessions will be the Lecture Series catering to students seeking insightful learning from over 40 experts of the country who have not only worked as the best professional in their respective industries but also seek to train young minds with their real-life experiences. From academicians to CEOs some of the experts who will be conducting the lecture series are Geetiara Safiya Choudhury, Chairperson, Adcomm Ltd.; Abrar A. Anwar, CEO, SCB; Sonia Bashir Kabir, Managing Director, Microsoft Bangladesh; Gousul Alam Shaon, Managing Director, Grey Dhaka; Renowned Film Director; Sajid Rahman, CEO, Telenor Health; Yasir Azman, CMO, Grameenphone, Mayor Anisul Haque, Dhaka North City Corporation; Syed Ferhat Anwar Ph.D., Professor, IBA, Dhaka University, Ovick Alam, CEO of WebAble Digital, Nazia Andaleeb Preema, Director of BBF and President of Women in Leadership and many other notable personalities. 

A chance for the undergraduate crowd attending and participating in this event will be the exclusive ‘Career Talk’ session, conducted by 15 of the most sought after companies for job placement such as Unilever, Grameenphone, Reckitt Benckiser, WebAble Digital, Nestle, Standard Chartered, British American Tobacco, Symphony, Asiatic 360, Shwapno, and SSD Tech. This session will feature guidance and counseling as an interactive program for the students to glean the right information from highly prestigious companies.

The Grand Finale will highlight a total of 42 winning teams from the seven regional rounds competing to become the best out of seven broad categories, such as – Social Issue, Technology: New Product, Technology: Fresh Idea, Entrepreneurship Idea, Tech-based Entrepreneurship Idea, Paper Presentation on Prediction of the Regional Economy for 2025, and Women Entrepreneurship. The biggest honor for these seven winning teams will be the opportunity to attend the largest creativity festival in Asia, Spikes Asia 2016.
